1994 HONDA CR250 TWO-STROKE BUILD “WHITE LIGHTNING”
We’ve built a few classic Honda CR250Rs in the past. Everyone has. Most have the Jeremy McGrath look, which we love. With this project, Dirt Bike Magazine Managing Editor Mark Tilley was looking for something different, so he came up with the “White Lightning” theme. If you’re a fan of ’70s Burt Reynolds films, you get the reference. If not, the idea is all about good ol’ boys building fast motors and running moonshine. Despite how common the build is, it’s not easy. Honda no longer has many parts like cylinders, so having a good core bike is essential. This one sat in Mark’s garage for about nine years before he got the courage to tackle it. The result speaks for itself.
