Mohammed Kudus is likely to miss Ghana’s pre-2023 Africa Cup of Nations friendly against Namibia on later today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
While the West Ham United attacking midfielder won’t feature in the Namibia match, he is anticipated to link up with the Black Stars camp shortly.
Despite nursing a minor injury, Kudus is expected to continue his recovery in Accra, leveraging the expertise of Ghana Black Stars’ top-notch medical team, as highlighted by Sports Journalist Saddick Adams on Twitter.
Saddick emphasized Kudus’s optimism and eagerness to rejoin his teammates following his absence from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Having made a notable impact since his move to West Ham United from Ajax last summer for a fee of around 40 million euros, Kudus boasts an impressive record of 10 goals in 18 starts across all competitions.
His imminent return to the national team adds anticipation to Ghana’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
The match is expected to kick-off at 8 pm.
