Player Summary:
Junior. RB starter. He has below-average height but good weight for a RB. Built like a LB. Stands like Michael Myers in the backfield. Excellent ball carrier vision. Great mobility for his size. Very hard to tackle. Solid pass blocker in the pocket. Can be overpowered by a big defensive lineman. Can easily power his way into the endzone on the goal line. Not much of a route runner in pass. Not the greatest receiver on the field. Powerful runner. Always reaches for extra yardage. Once heâs in the open field, good luck trying to tackle him, heâll be gone in the endzone. Has good footwork. Runs at a low pad level. Reaches top speed insanely fast, and teleports across the field.
Scheme Fit:
RB.
Power Statement:
Ashton Jeanty is a once-in-a-generation RB. He is on pace to beat Bary Sandersâs rushing record and is a Heisman candidate this year. He is a 1st round talent and any team would be lucky to have his unique skill set. I will be watching him more this year and Iâm excited to see how well he does to finish out his junior year and his NFL career.
