The film takes place two decades after the events of Gladiator (2000) and follows Lucius (Paul Mescal), the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen), who is suddenly brought back to Rome as a gladiator after growing up outside the reach of the Roman Empire. Now, Lucius makes new enemies and seeks revenge.

And today, we finally got our first full-length trailer for Gladiator II, and it’s truly all I can think about. In a word, the film looks stunning.

Alongside Paul and Connie, Gladiator II also boasts Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, and more. And let’s just say I am now eagerly awaiting the Gladiator II press tour because this cast is stacked.
