Pep Guardiola cuts animated figure as he dishes out post-win instructions to Man City star

Pep Guardiola once again proved why he’s a proven winner as he cut an animated figure when speaking to Josko Gvardiol at Goodison Park.

Manchester City had just secured a valuable 3-1 victory over Everton to move back into the Premier League’s top four.

But while the bulk of his players were away celebrating with the travelling fans, Guardiola pulled the Croatian defender aside.

Cutting an animated figure, Guardiola offered some feedback to Gvardiol about his performance against the Toffees.

While it remains to be seen exactly what he was saying to the defender, the exchange is nothing unusual for the Man City boss.

Despite taking just four minutes to find the net, Guardiola exchanged similar words with Erling Haaland at half-time during the August clash with Burnley as he looked to offer vital feedback in a bid to improve his players.

His approach may be intense, but it clearly works given that Man City have just been crowned as Club World Cup winners, taking their tally of trophies in 2023 to an impressive five.

Gvardiol is still in his early days at Man City after joining for £77.6million from RB Leipzig over the summer.

Since then, the 21-year-old has made 20 appearances for the treble-winners, 16 of which have coming in the starting line up.

With Guardiola’s feedback along the way, the Croatian star will be hoping to become one of Man City’s most important players over the coming years.
