The NFL Pro Bowl rosters are set and as is the case every year, social media is sounding off on the players that were shut out of the annual all-star festivities.
From franchise quarterbacks to hidden gems, they are the players who have balled out in 2023, did not feel the love from voters, and now have X (formerly Twitter) users voicing both frustration and support for them.
In the wake of the roster reveal, these are the biggest snubs.

There were destined to be top-tier quarterbacks left out of the Pro Bowl mix based on the sheer number of quality performances in 2023 and that was certainly the case Wednesday.
Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills was one such name noticeably missing from the roster, with some taking exception to the strong-armed QB missing out in favor of Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller, and two-time league MVP, Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes enters Week 18 of the season with 4183 yards, 27 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 92.6.
Allen accumulated 3947 yards through the air, also had 27 touchdowns, with two more interceptions than his inter-conference rival. Where the Bills QB eclipses Mahomes is in the rushing category, where he added another 457 yards on the ground and 15 touchdowns.
Taking into consideration what he did in all facets on his game statistically, it is easy to see where his staunch defenders would take exception to the Chiefs signal-caller getting in at the expense of the AFC East quarterback.
Also drawing furious posts was rookie CJ Stroud from Houston, who compiled 3844 yards through the air, 21 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.

Prior to missing consecutive games due to being in concussion protocol, Stroud legitimately received MVP chatter, thanks to his on-field performance helping to fuel the Texans as a strong playoff contender.
He has been stellar in his first season under center for the Texans and if he can continue his upward momentum, will have his name associated with Pro Bowls for years to come.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Shut Out2 of 3

Amon-Ra St. Brown has been one of the major factors in the Detroit Lions’ monumental turnaround from a 3-13 team in 2021 to the NFC Champions here in 2023. Still, he was shut out of a spot on this year’s Pro Bowl roster and Lions fans are not happy.

St. Brown enters Week 18 having caught 112 balls for 1371 yards, nine touchdowns, and an average of 12.2 yards per reception.
He has been the primary target for quarterback Jared Goff, himself a snub candidate, and can turn any game in his team’s favor, thanks to his ability to break a game open by finding a hole in any defense.

St. Brown had more touchdowns and receptions than both Los Angeles Rams rookie Puka Nacua and Philadelphia Eagles star AJ Brown, and more receptions and yards than the Buccaneers’ Mike Evans.
There is a very strong argument to be made that he earned a spot on the team while the counter-argument is that the NFC is brimming with great wide receivers and someone was destined to be left out.

The San Francisco 49ers had nine players named to the 2024 Pro Bowl but there is one obvious omission: wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
The fourth-year wideout has been one of the more dynamic wide receivers in the league this season, turning 72 receptions into 1317 yards, an average of 18.3 yards, and seven touchdowns.

He has been a significant part of quarterback Brock Purdy’s development in his second year and is a threat to explode into the second level of any defense and take off for a ton of yards after the catch, let alone score.

Playing on a star-studded offense that includes Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, fellow receiver Deebo Samuel, and tight end George Kittle likely puts Aiyuk at a disadvantage as he is often overshadowed by his teammates.

Still, there is no denying that Aiyuk has made the most of every catch and figures to play a key role in the Niners’ march to their first Super Bowl appearance since 2020.
