Oop! Kevin Hart Responds To Katt Williams Calling Him An Industry Plant
Katt Williamsâ recent remarks about his comedic peers set the internet ablaze on Wednesday (January 3). And now, Kevin Hart is speaking out after Williamsâ not-so-nice comments about him.
As previously reported, Williams sat down for a candid chat on Shannon Sharpeâs âClub Shay Shayâ podcast. During their conversation, they brought up Hartâs name, but it seemed Williams didnât have much fondness for the âJumanjiâ star.
Katt Williams Shared His Thoughts On Kevin Hart
The 52-year-old didnât hold back either, asserting that Hart is a Hollywood puppet, whose career statistics were overly inflated.
Williams further claimed that several movies that Hart had appeared in were projects that were initially offered to Williams.
But when he requested to have the scripts revised so they werenât âovertly homosexual,â they passed the roles down to Hart instead.
âAnd me saying that and them going, âOh yeah, no problem,â and then going to give it to this other guy and having him doing it just like it was and acting like Iâm a bad person âcause I keep standing on my standard,â he said.
Williams also commented that none of Hartâs supposed lackluster comedy shows have made enough impact on his fans to receive a standing ovation.
He claimed that his rival hadnât sold out a single show, even though Hart and Chris Rock embarked on a four-date tour just last year for their âHeadliners Onlyâ special on Netflix. The Wrap reports that they sold out every comedy gig.
âIn 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,â he said, per Vulture.
âFor a five-year period, every single movie that Kevin Hart did was a movie that had been on my desk. All I had said was âCan we take some of this Stepin Fetchit sh*t out and then I can do it? It donât need to be overtly homosexual âcause Iâm not homosexual.â
Kevin Hart Responds To Katt Williams
While Michael Blackson and Cedric The Entertainer both addressed comments made by Williams in the interview with lengthy responses on social media, Hart decided to keep things classy and cute.
He hopped on X on Thursday (January 4) and tweeted, âGotta get that anger up outcha champâŠ.Itâs honestly sad.â
He made sure to plug his upcoming movie in the tweet, which could be interpreted as Hart seemingly letting Williams know he was still booked and busy regardless of his thoughts about him.
Hartâs response comes five years after his previous feud with Williams which stemmed over the latter calling out Tiffany Haddish.
During an appearance on âFrank and Wanda In the Morningâ in 2018, Katt shared his brutally honest thoughts about Haddish.
He asserted that she âhas not proven her ability to tell jokes.â

Kevin Hart And Katt Williams Have Been At Odds For Years
Williams specifically criticized people for praising the âBad Tripâ actress. Despite her status as one of the most sought-after female comedians at the time, Williams believed she had not achieved anything in her career that warranted such success.
â[Haddish has] been doing comedy since she was 16. You canât tell me your favorite Tiffany Haddish joke. Why? Because she ainât done a tour yet,â he told the radio station, per Complex.
âShe ainât done a special. She has not proven the ability to tell jokes, back to back for an hour,â he said (6:28). â[âŠ] They all ready to down MoâNique and up somebody who has showed them Girls Trip. Did you think she wrote Girls Trip, goofball?â
Contrasting his short response to Williams regarding his recent interview, Hart spent 10 minutes on âThe Breakfast Clubâ discussing his disapproval of the hatred targeted at Haddish.
âMy frustrations with Katt Williams come from, you keep pointing at Hollywood. Hollywood this. The white man,â he expressed. âThis, this, and this. When do you take responsibility for your actions?â
âYou had the shot!â Hart said passionately while defending Haddish. âYou were the guy! You were set up to be the star. You didnât show up to work! You fââ off promo shoots! You fââ off your promo trips. You became a risk to the studios, which is why the studios stopped fâ- with you.â
