When Does Solid Snake in Fortnite Release?

The latest Fortnite season has a few quirks, with medallions and a bit of a smoothed-over map. However, one area where Epic has brought their A-game is crossovers. We’ve already had Peter Griffin, but Solid Snake in Fortnite is coming soon too. One of the biggest icons of gaming will soon make it into the game as a new skin.

The Metal Gear Solid protagonist is coming to Fortnite. The Chapter 5 Battle Pass has crossovers with Family Guy already, but one of the most exciting crossovers is still to come. The Solid Snake Fortnite release date is quite a bit after the original release of the season. Players will have to jump back in and complete quite a few quests. Only then can you unlock the Snake Fortnite skin! How can you unlock the character though and when will they be fully released in Fortnite?

The Solid Snake Fortnite skin is coming with this season’s Battle Pass. Just who is he though? Solid Snake is the stealthy protagonist of the Metal Gear Solid franchise. One of the biggest series in gaming history, it was revolutionary on early 3D consoles and continued to bang out genre-defining hits through the decades. Director Kojima has moved on to new works like Death Stranding since a messy fallout with the series’ publisher, but Snake remains an important part of gaming history.

Solid Snake in Fortnite joins other icons of gaming like Lara Croft. He’s been featured in games like Smash Bros Ultimate’s roster in the past too. Since Metal Gear debuted on the SNES in the 80s, Snake has become one of the most recognizable characters in video games. How can you unlock him in Fortnite though?

How to Unlock the Skin
Once we get past the Solid Snake Fortnite release date, unlocking him will be simple. This is the bonus or secret skin for the current Battle Pass. At one point, these were a bit more secret. By Chapter 5 they’ve basically become simply a separate page of the Battle Pass though. Players will need access to the premium Pass if they want to unlock Snake in Fortnite. It’s better value than purchasing him from the Fortnite item shop though.

With the Battle Pass purchased, unlocking the character is simple. Once we reach the release date, players will find two pages of quests for Solid Snake. Completing each of them unlocks one of the associated cosmetics for that set. Once you complete a page, you’ll unlock the Fortnite skin. The second page should come with an alternative style for Solid Snake too.
