Inter Miami Receive $550k Transfer Boost After Facundo Farias’ Injury as Augustin Palavecino Nears Loan Move to Join Lionel Messi & Co

Inter Miami has been found in a confusing state. One of its young stars, Facundo Farias, suffered an ACL injury recently and is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days. But Lionel Messi’s club has now seen another door open with a $550 grand boost. Inter Miami is expected to bring in a former Argentinian champion, bolstering its midfield.

The injury to Farias will sideline him for the majority of the season, at least. This has added to the existing concern about the efficiency of the club that surfaced after its recent game against El Salvador, which ended in a goalless draw. Hence, Tata Martino is looking at wider options in his country.

The club from Miami seemed to have a defensive concern last season. But now it looks like the club is attempting to boost its playmaking to assist Lionel Messi and his team. According to reports, the club is hoping to acquire central midfielder Augustin Palavecino from River Plate, who has a $20 million release clause, in place of Farias. And the news also suggests that the talks are in the later stages of bringing him on loan.

After Farias’ injury, the club will have an additional boost of $550,000. Inter Miami can avail of this by moving him to the Season-Ending Injury List. But, even as the deal amount remains unrevealed, the financial constraints are said to be the reason for a loan rather than a permanent signing for the youngster. The star, meanwhile, is known to possess excellent passing skills and create chances, which can provide a considerable amount of value instead of Farias.
