Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass has had a rough couple of days since missing a game-tying field goal in a 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional round on Sunday.

However, Bills fans have shown an outpouring of support for the 26-year-old by making donations to his Ten Lives Club, which is a “non-kill, non-profit cat adoption group devoted to reducing the number of cats euthanized each year due to overpopulation and lack of space in shelters,” according to its website.

Bills fans have donated more than $100,000 to support Bass’ charity, according to Brayton J. Wilson of WBEN NewsRadio.

Ten Lives Club public relations manager Kimberly LaRussa told Wilson:

“We are just so blown away and so grateful. Obviously, we wish it was under better circumstances. We were very saddened to hear that Tyler was being given a hard time, especially after he took the time to help our cats last year with another nonprofit called Show Your Soft Side. Anyways, we are just blown away. This means the world to allow us to save so many cats, and we are so grateful right now”Ten Lives Club @tenlivesclub#NewProfilePic pic.twitter.com/W5n6vbySqU

With 1:47 remaining in the divisional round matchup between the Bills and Chiefs, Bass missed a game-tying 44-yard field goal and Kansas City ultimately went on to secure the victory.

Bass took responsibility for the missed field goal, but since then he has received death threats and ultimately deactivated all of his social media accounts.

Bills fans are some of the best in sports when it comes to making donations. Over the past several years, they have flooded the charities of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb and Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton.
