Jalen Brunson scored 30 points and Julius Randle each scored 30 points as the New York Knicks stormed from behind to earn a 108-103 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
The Knicks outscored their cross-city rival 32-18 in the fourth quarter. Cameron Johnson had a chance to tie the game for the Nets with 6.1 seconds remaining, but his shot clanged off the rim.
Mikal Bridges scored a game-high 36 points and Johnson added 19, but no other Nets starter scored in double figures.
The win is the Knicks’ fourth straight overall and 11th in their last 13 contests. They’re now just 0.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for fourth place in the Eastern Conference, giving them hope of home-court advantage in the first round.
Social media was abuzz as the Brunson-Randle combo continues to impress during the Knicks’ recent hot stretch.

The Strickland @TheStricklandFinal thoughts:
-Julius was great down the stretch
-the defensive intensity was outstanding from start to finish
-nice to get wins when the team is so sloppy. Especially without IHart (& Mitch)
-with Grimes & Hart struggling to shoot, Deuce needs to be an option next to Brunson
The Knicks are heading into a two-game stretch against Denver and Miami that will provide perhaps their biggest test yet since signing OG Anonoby. If they’re able to get through the defending NBA finalists, then it might be time to start viewing the Knicks as a true contender.
