Watch: Free Fight — Henry Cejudo vs. Dominick Cruz
Few fighters in history can boast the same level of accomplishment as Henry Cejudo.
The American, a 2008 Olympic gold winner in freestyle wrestling, is a member of the very short list of fighters to have won world title in two separate weight categories in the UFC. He accomplished this by first defeating Demetrious Johnson, arguably the greatest flyweight in history, to claim 125-pound gold in August 2018 and then later the (then vacant) bantamweight championship against Marlon Moraes less than a year later.
His first defence of that 135-pound belt would come in May 2020 against another legendary figure of the weight class, Dominick Cruz, which came just weeks before he relinquished the world title and announced his retirement.
After coming up short in his return to the sport last May against Aljamain Sterling, Cejudo will seek to stage one last run at a world title when he fights Merab Dvalishvili — winner of nine straight fights — at this month’s UFC 298 in Anaheim, California.
