Malik Tillman, Ricardo Pepi set for PSV return after slight layoff
PSV manager Peter Bosz did not have the services of Malik Tillman and Ricardo Pepi for Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Ajax, but should have them back available this coming weekend.
Both Tillman and Pepi are expected to return to the squad for Sunday’s trip to FC Volendam in Eredivisie play, Dutch outlet ED reported Monday. The U.S. men’s national team pair missed last weekend’s draw due to respective issues.
PSV suffered only its second draw of the league campaign, but remain 10 points clear of second-place Feyenoord in the table.
The 21-year-old Tillman has impressed while on loan from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. Tillman has recorded five goals and six assists in 23 combined appearances for the Dutch leaders.
Pepi has mainly featured off the bench for PSV, totaling six goals and two assists in 27 combined appearances. The 21-year-old striker has played only 405 minutes across all competitions.
PSV faces FC Volendam and Heracles Almelo in league play before hosting Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
