Warlock Rune Locations WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2
Shadowflame Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Head to Desolance and visit the Shadowbreak Ravine and then find the Ritual of Sacrifice which can be found at 81.4 79.8.
Here cast Shadow Ward and interact with the Ritual which will deal damage that can not be healed. Use Sacrifice and Shadow Ward to mitigate.
Then defeat the spawning Seductress Ceeyna elite and claim the rune.

Dance of the Wicked Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Requires Hellfire and minimum level 30.
Find and kill the Reckless Warlock to loot the Brimstone Carvings. The Reckless Warlock can be found in the following coordinates:

Stranglethorn Vale around 30.8 47.0.
Alterac Mountains at 53 35.
Thousand Needles at 10.8 40.6.
Desolace around 74.8 13.2.

To obtain the rune, use Hellfire with the Brimstone Carving in the inventory until you’re below 70% health to obtain the rune.

Grimoire of Synergy Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Once upon reaching level 30, Warlocks can accept the quest A Solid Foundation from Raszel Ander at  9.2 57.2 in the Barrens.
Now head to the Bough Shadow in the northeast of Ashenvale. There is a tree where the Bough of Shadow note can be looted which will cause consecutive shadow damage. The Bough of Shadows is not lost upon death.
Return to Razel Ander and accept the Soul Vessel quest nest. Which requires you to bring them a Soul Vessel which can be obtained via Engineering or bought off the Auction House. Turning in the Soul Vessel will reward you with the rune.

Invocation Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Kill Syndicate Conjurors in the Arathi Highlands around the Stormgarde Keep to obtain 10 Conjuror’s Pendants.
Then use Drain Soul on one of the Voidwalker minions to obtain Soul of the Void.
Now head up to the top floor of the house along the eastern wall inside Stormgarde Keep and combine the Conjuror’s Pendants with the Soul of the Void to spawn the Void Seeker.
Slaying the Void Seeker will let you loot the rune.

Shadow and Flame Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Head to Desolace and find the Extingushed Fire at 47.5 54.6 near the Kodo Graveyard. Here you can initiate the quest Highway Robbery.
Head to Bibbly F’utzbuckle at the northeast of the Graveyard to turn in and accept the quest On the Lam.
Next, you have to go to Booty Bay in Stranglethorn Vale and walk to Tokal at the Inn and you get the quest Cherry for Your Thoughts. Now buy Cherry Grog from Nixxrax Fillamug and turn in the quest with Tokal to accept No Honor Among Thieves.
Now go to the Arathi Highlands and use the rowboat at 53.0 91.0 to go to the eastern shore. Here you have to talk to Illari Duskfeather at the docks, fight, and loot her for Illari’s Key.
You’ll find a chest near Illari’s location at the docks where you can turn in the quest for the Jewel-Encrusted Box which contains the rune.

Demonic Knowledge Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Head on over to Ariden’s Camp at Deadwind Pass and talk to the Dalaran Agent to obtain Ariden’s Sigil.
Equip it and you’ll get the Dark Presence Buff in certain locations which causes Dark Riders to spawn. You’ll have to slay all 7 of them.
These can be found at the following locations and coordinates, loot them for the relics:

Deadwind Pass: 43.0 29.0
Duskwood: 23.0 47.0
Swamp of Sorrows: 69.0 28.0
Arathi Highlands: 34.0 35.0
The Barrens: 52.0 36.0
Desolace: 65.0 25.0
Badlands: 58.0 54.0

Return to the Dalaran Agent and turn in the relicts to obtain the rune.

Portal of Summoning Skillbook Location
Grimoire of Portal of Summoning drops in the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard from all Mobs.

Soul Harvesting Skillbook Location
The Grimoire of Sooul Harvesting can be obtained from all Mobs in the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard.

Lake of Fire Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Head on over to Hillsbrand Foothills and purchase Demolition Explosives for 5 Gold off the neutral merchant Zixil.
Use these Demolition Explosives at Durnholde Keep after locating the Rubble at 79, 40. This will reveal the chest containing the rune.

Master Channeler Rune Location
Horde:

Undead: In Silverpine Forest you need to use the Curse of Recklessness on the Sadistic Fiend found in a cave here 56,45.
Orc: In the Barrens use Health Funnel while standing on the Altar of Thorns, once your health drops to 0 you’ll be healed and obtain your rune.

Alliance:

Human: In Westfall, you need to kill Harvest Watchers and Rusty Harvest Golems for Spare Reaper Parts and get the Elemental Core from the Dust Devil. Combine these two for the Prototype Engine and insert it into the Harvest Reaper Prototype found in the area for the rune.
Dwarf: Buy a Malevolent Pie off Greishan Ironstove which can be found in Loch Modan for the rune.
Darkshore: Dropped from the Dark Strand Fanatic.

Soul Siphon Rune Location
Horde:

Undead: In Trisfal Glades use Drain Soul on a critter to loot a Pure Soul Shard, then do the same thing to Maggot Eye to the north. Now head back to the Undercity and turn in both to Denton Bleakway for the Rune.
Orc: In Durotar use Drain Soul on a critter for the Pure Soul Shard, find Gazz’uz and do the same for the Tainted Soul Shard, and turn it in at Darmak Bloodhowl in Razor Hill for the rune.

Alliance:

Dwarf: Find a critter in Dun Morogh and use Drain Soul for a Pure Soul Shard, then find Captain Beld to drain him for a Tainted Soul Shard and hand it in at Gaklik Voidtwit in Kharanos.
Human: In Elwynn Forest, use Drain Soul on a critter to obtain a Pure Soul Shard, then use the same skill on Hogger to obtain a Tainted Soul Shard and hand it to Damien Kane who is located in the basement of the Goldshire Inn.

Demon Tactics Rune Location
Horde:

In Tirisfal Glades venture up to the Scarlet Monastery and loot the Dead Acolyte.
Then head back to Brill hand over the artifact to Warlock Trainer and go back to where you found it. Here use the Artifact to obtain the Blood Offering debuff.
Now you have 10 minutes to head back to the Undercity to talk with Carendin Halgar in exchange for the rune.

Alliance:

Near the Jasperlode Mine in Elwynn Forest, find the Dead Acolyte and loot them for the artifact.
Next head to the warlock trainer in Goldshire and head back to Dead Acolyte.
Use the Powerless Artifact on the Acolyte to obtain the Blood Offering debuff, now you have 10 minutes to meet with Gakin the Darkbinder in Stormwind to exchange the debuff for the rune.

Everlasting Affliction Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Raise your reputation with the Durotar Supply and Logistics or Azeroth Commerce Authority faction to Friendy and you’ll be able to purchase the Rune of Everlasting Affliction for 2 Gold.

Incinerate Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Drops from the Incinerator Gar’im at 77,85 in Redridge Mountains.

Demonic Rune Location
Horde:

Undead: In Tirisfal Glades obtain the Ominous Tome from a Darkeye Bonecaster, Gnoll Blood from a Gnoll at Garren’s Haut, and Wolf Jawbone from a Darkhound. Use these ingredients in the Sewers of the Undercity to summon and kill Soboz for the rune.
Orc: Loot an Ominous Tome off the Voodoo Troll in Durotar from the Echo Isles, a Makruka Leg from the Makura mobs, and a Kul Tiran Skull off a Kul Tiran in Tiragarde Keep. Then use these materials to summon Soboz at the summoning circle near Zalazane for the rune.

Alliance:

Human: Elwynn Forest, loot an Ominous Tome off Kobolds in Jasperlode Mine, Gnoll Blood from Gnolls, and a Wolf Jawbone from Prowlers of Wolves to summon Soboz at the Slaughtered Lamb Inn in the Mage Quarter in Stormwind.
Dwarf: In Dun Morogh slay Frostmane Shadowcasters in the Troll Cave for Ominous Tomes, Wendigo’s for Wendigo Blood, and Wolf Jawbone from Wolves and use them to summon Soboz at Shimmer Ridge for the rune.

Demonic Pact Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

In Ratchet complete the Quest Schredder the Turbochargers from Grizzby which asks you to deliver 16 Shreddered Turbochargers from Stonetalon Peaks.
Next, you’re asked to kill Dwarves for Dark Iron Ordinance in the northern Wetlands and bring them back to complete Dark Iron Ordinance.
Lastly, you’re asked to deliver 24 Fish Oil which is obtained by slaying murlocs in Hillsbrand Foothills or the Wetlands.
After handing in all these quests, you’ll be able to purchase the rune off Grizzby for 5 gold.

Metamorphosis Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Head to the south of the Barrens and accept the quest The Orb of Soran’ruk which requires you to kill Twilight Acolyte’s outside or within the Blackfathom Deeps raid and kill Shadowfang Darksoul in Shadowfang Keep.
Next, pick up the follow-up quest Rumors Abound which requires you to find the Orb of Des in the Tower of the Ilgalar in Redridge Mountains and the Bough of Altek at the top of the Tower of Althalaxx in Darkshore.
Then pick up The Conjuring which asks you to slay Legion/Fel enemies in Felfire Canyo in Ashenvale. After looting 10x Blood of the Legion interact with the altar near the obelisk created in honor of Grommash Hellscream and defeat demons by using Drain Soul while standing inside the purple rune. After you defeat the final Infernal an NPC will offer you the Mysterious Traveler quest.
Now head back to the Barrens and talk with Doan Karhan and hand in this and the next quest to obtain your rune.

Shadow Bolt Volley Rune Location

Undead: In Silverpine Forest kill Ravenclaw Drudgers and Ravenclaw Guardians to obtain a Tortured Soul, then use Life Tap and use the item and slay the mob for the rune.
Orc: Use Drain Soul on Supervisor Lugwizzel in the Barrens and use the dropped Soul of Greed on the Hungry Idol found at 57, 9 for your rune.
Human: Use Drain Soul on Old Murk-Eye in Westfall and use Soul of the Sea on the Medusa Stature at 26, 70 for your rune.
Dwarf: slay Demonic Remains in Loch Modan with shadow spells until Ggraix drops who will drop the rune after being killed.
Darkshore: Complete the quest The Blackwood corrupted and Delmains the Hated should drop the rune.

Chaos Bolt Rune Location

Undead: In Tirisfal Glades you can find a Frozen Murloc northwest of Brightwater Lake, use a fire spell to obtain the rune.
Orc: West of Razor Hill in Durotar you find a Frozen Makrura, use a fire spell to obtain the rune.
Human: In Elwynn Forest find the Frozen Murloc around Stonecairn Lake and use a fire spell for the rune.
 Dwarf: At the Gol’bolar Quarry in Dun Morogh you can find a Frozen Trogg, use a fire spell to melt the ice and obtain your rune.

Haunt Rune Location
Horde + Alliance:

Just complete the quest Stolen Power in your Races starting zone, picked up at their respective Warlock trainer.

Warlock Runes
Warlock Phase 1 Runes
Chest

Lake of Fire – Increases damage by caster and pet by 40% for 15 seconds as long as the caster remains in the affected area.
Master Channeler – Drain Life lasts for 15 seconds, costs double the mana, and healing is increased by 50%.
Soul Siphon – Increases the effect of Drain Life/Soul by 6% up to 18% with other effects.
Demonic Tactics – Pet and own melee/spell critical strike chance increases by 10%.

Legs

Everlasting Affliction – Drain Life, Drain Soul, Shadowbolt, shadow Cleave, Searing Pain, Incinerate and Haunt refresh the effect of Corruption up to the maximum duration.
Incinerate – Deals damage and increases all Fire damage by the caster by 25% for 15 seconds.
Demonic Grace – Pet and casters dodge chance is increased by 30% as well as critical strike chance by 30% for 6 seconds.
Demonic Pact – Pet’s critical strikes apply Demonic Pact to all party members for 45 seconds. Demonic Pact increases spell damage and healing by 10%.

Hands

Metamorphosis – Turn into a demon which increases your Amor by 500% and increases threat generation by 100%. You’ll also gain access to new abilities and existing casts become more powerful.
Shadow Bolt Volley – Shadow Bolt now targets up to 5 targets for reduced damage.
Chaos Bolt – Deals massive fire damage. Chaos Bolt can not be resisted and even goes through defensive effects.
Haunt – Deals damage and increases all Shadow damage you deal to the target by 20%, once the effect ends or is dispelled you’re healed for the damage you dealt to the target.

Warlock Phase 2 Runes
Head

Backdraft: The ability Conflagrate now grants 30% spellcasting haste for 10 seconds.
Pandemic: Over time Damage caused by Corruption, Unstable Affliction, Curse of Agony, Immolate, Curse of Doom, and Siphon Life can not land critical hits.

Belt

Grimoire of Synergy: By reading from a dark tome, damage dealt by a summoned demon or the Warlock now has a 5% chance to increase the damage of the other by 5%.
Invocation: When Refreshing Corruption, Immolate, Curse of Agony, or Siphon Life when there is less than 6 seconds left, will deal one additional periodic damage tick on refresh.
Shadow and Flame: Critical Strikes by Fire and Shadow spells now have a 10% chance to increase Fire or Shadow damage done for 10 seconds.

Wrists

Immolation Aura: Enemies nearby will be burned for massive damage every 2 seconds and all magical damage taken is reduced by 10% until canceled.
Summon Felguard: Allows the Warlock to summon a Felguard which benefits from all talents and effects that would usually benefit the Warlock’s other minions.
Unstable Affliction: Puts a Shadow Damage over Time effect on the enemy for 15 seconds, dealing massive damage on every tick. If Unstable Afflciton is dispelled it will cause damage to the dispelled for 5 seconds instead. Only one Unstable Affliction or Immolate can be active per Warlock on any target.

Feet

Dance of the Wicked: The Warlock and their demon pet have a chance to dodge equal to the Warlock’s critical spell strike chance every time they deal a critical strike to an enemy. This ability will also recover 2% of the maximum mana.
Demonic Knowledge: Spell damage and healing of the warlock are increased by 10% of their demon pets’ Stamina + Intellect.
Shadowflame: Targets in front of the caster take massive Shadow Damage and additional Fire Damage over the course of 8 seconds.
