Tom Brady, Kevin Durant, OBJ and More Stars Join Fans for ‘Topps Hobby Rip Night’

Several NFL, MLB, and NBA stars made appearances at trading card stores and hobby shops across the country on Saturday to celebrate Topps Hobby Rip Night.

The athletes interacted with fans and participated in rip parties and giveaways, as well as a few trades.

Tom Brady made an appearance, as the legendary quarterback previously discussed his interest in trading cards during the inaugural Hobby Rip Night in Oct. 2023.

“[I was 10 years old] when I started collecting all my baseball cards. I still have binders full of my favorite players,” Brady said at the time, according to Manny Randhawa of MLB.com.

On Saturday, Brady and several other stars were able to celebrate their affinity for card collecting with fans around the country.

In Arizona, numerous stars showed up at Rip Valley Sports Cards and Culture Shop. Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant made an appearance, along with Cincinnati Bengals stars Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. Three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was also in attendance.

At Average Joes Sports Cards in California, Carolina Panthers quarterback and former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young showed up to meet with fans.

Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald AcuƱa Jr. made an appearance at Blue Breaks card store in Florida, per Zac Blackerby of Sports Illustrated. Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis was at Grand Slam Collectibles in Tennessee as part of Topps Hobby Rip Night.

One of the largest nights in card collecting appeared to be a rousing success.
