All FF7 Rebirth Scenic Spots and Where to Find Them

This guide will help you find all of the FF7 Rebirth Scenic Spots so that you can complete Snaps’ side activity and receive all the rewards

The worlds of Final Fantasy have always been one of the highlights of the franchise and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is no exception. The sequel to the critically acclaimed remake boasts a breathtaking world for players to get lost in. From beautiful vistas to jaw-dropping cityscapes, the game is a visual spectacle and includes a revamped Photo Mode for players to take advantage of.

However, the devs of FF7 Rebirth knew that there would be many players who would not be able to see all of the game’s awe-inspiring scenarios. That is why they came up with a clever little side activity called “Scenic Spots” for players so that they can go visit the game’s picturesque landmasses. So, here’s everything you need to know about where to find the FF7 Rebirth Scenic Spots!

How to Start This Side Quest/Activity?
When going through the chapters and exploring the locations of FF7 Rebirth, you will more than likely come across an NPC called Snaps. When you approach him, he will take a picture of Cloud and then request you to go to a specific location on the map to take a picture using the game’s Photo Mode. Once you have gone to the location, taken the picture, and returned to Snaps, you will receive a few nice rewards.

Keep in mind that you don’t need to necessarily take a picture of the spot and save it. Just pointing your camera in the right direction while in Photo Mode should do the trick. However, we would advise you to save those pictures as a keepsake. You can also determine these Scenic Spots by looking for a wooden post with a camera icon. If you see one, you’re in the right location.

All FF7 Rebirth Scenic Spots
In this section, we will go over all of the FF7 Rebirth Scenic Spots and where you can find them. There are 7 Scenic Spots in the game that players can find quite easily just by talking to Snaps. However, if you’re struggling with this side activity, here’s what you need to do:

1. Grasslands – Scenic Spot

You will likely come across Snaps for the first time in Chapter 2. He is located near the entrance of Kalm and speaking to him will start the first Scenic Spot side quest of the game. Snaps will ask you to go to the hilly area just northeast of Bill’s Farm and take a picture there. You will then need to proceed to the location, and once you’re there – open the menu, go to Photo Mode, and take a picture. Returning to Snaps and talking to him after doing so will reward you with the Chocobo Ranch frame and Grassland Skies filter.

2. Junon – Scenic Spot

In Chapter 4, you will reach a new location called Junon. There you can Snaps in an area called Under Junon. Locating him is easy as you have to simply follow the main entranceway to the center of town where you will see him on your left. Talk to him and he will ask you to go to an abandoned ship for your next picture. Do note that the area you have to go to is locked behind a side quest that will be given to you by Rhonda in Under Junon. This will grant you access to the Crow’s Nest settlement. The Scenic Spot itself is at the southern tip of the peninsula where Crow’s Nest is located. When you come across a rope bridge in the area, you will know that you’re heading in the right direction. Cross it, take a picture of the seaside from the shipwreck, and return to Snaps to get the Junon Jubilation frame and Junon Undersea filter.

3. Corel Coastline – Scenic Spot

You can find Snaps next in Chapter 6 in Costa del Sol. You will need to go to Johnny’s Seaside Inn and watch the cutscene. After that Snaps should appear with your next Scenic Spots destination. For this, follow the main road that leads southwest from Costa del Sol and you will eventually reach an abandoned beach area. Find the post with the camera icon and take a picture. Report back to Snaps to receive the Palmeras del Sol frame and Costa Tropical filter.

4. Corel Desert – Scenic Spot

The next time you will see Snaps is in Chapter 8. You can find him hanging out around some containers along a path that leads to the Dustbowl. When you talk to him, he will send you to a junkyard. The location is close to the parking entrance of the Gold Saucer. However, you can only go to this area at the start of Chapter 9 as you won’t be able to explore the desert before that. So, after completing Chapter 8 and taking the picture, return to Snaps to be rewarded with the Corel Cactuar frame and Corel Mirage filter.

5. Gongaga – Scenic Spot

For the next Scenic Spot side activity, you will need to be in Chapter 9. Snaps can be found in front of the Town Hall of Gongaga. He will direct you to go all the way to the southernmost tip of the region where you will have to take a picture of the sea. We would recommend you use the Gongaga Chocobo to help you explore the area. But that will require you to complete the region’s main story arc. Regardless of how you approach it, take the photo back to Snaps to get the Gongaga Jungle frame and Gongaga Green filter.

6. Cosmo Canyon – Scenic Spot

In Chapter 10, you will again have an opportunity to do the Scenic Spot side activity. You will find Snaps near the elevator that takes you to the Observatory in Cosmo Canyon. Speak to him to get the quest started. The location can be found across the Chocobo Farm and can be accessed by making a short hop from Training Course #3 to the opposite cliffside ledge. The wooden post is a dead giveaway that you’re in the right location. Return to Snaps with the picture to receive the Cosmo Stargazing frame and Cosmo Crimson filter.

7. Nibel – Scenic Spot

The final Scenic Spot quest will be given to you by Snaps in Chapter 11. You can find him just across Cloud’s home in Nibelheim. When you interact with him, he will ask you to go to a rocky island in the Meridian Ocean. To get there, you will need to head west from the fields where you will see a cluster of islands. Use the Nibel Chocobo to hover high up in the air to reach the area that’s near one of the Remnawave Towers. Returning to Snaps with the photo will net you the Mount Nibel frame and Nibel Nostalgia filter. Also, now that you finally have completed this side activity, you will receive the Master Photographer title, High-Flyin’ Stamp frame, and Cosmopolitan Chic filter.

That about wraps up this guide for all of the FF7 Rebirth Scenic Spots. Now go out there and enjoy the handcrafted visuals the devs at Square Enix carefully created for you to experience.
