The Ghanaian international has been sidelined by injuries for a significant part of the current season, and was featured in an unfamiliar right-back role in the first three matches of the season. As a result, Arsenal fans are yet to witness his potential partnership with summer signing Declan Rice in the midfield.

Rice, who joined Arsenal from West Ham United, has proven to be one of the standout signings of the season, showcasing commanding performances in the midfield under Arteta’s guidance. The prospect of a Rice-Partey partnership is generating excitement among fans, and Arteta addressed this in his press conference ahead of the Sheffield United game, expressing how much the team has missed Partey’s contributions. In the Community Shield, they played together in midfield, but after that, no. So that tells you as well how much we have missed Thomas,” Arteta emphasised to reporters. “A player like him, the impact he can have for the last three months can be really big… I think that will be a very powerful midfield (with Rice)
