I went into fight with broken hand after bizarre injury, broke my other one but still won and dropped him twice

We all know boxers are tough, but Carl Frampton once took that to a whole new level.

However, the Northern Irishman went into that bout with one broken hand and then managed to break his other during the fight.

He told talkSPORT: “I went into a fight with my left hand broken, and I broke my right hand in round seven. I just hit him in the belly a lot.

“My left hand was broken going into the fight, so that was gone already.”

“I didn’t want to do it again. I won easy. I dropped him twice as well.

“It’s adrenaline that gets you through it. I wasn’t really making a fist when I was punching, my hands were open.

“I closed my hands to hit him in the body and I dropped him with body shots a couple of times.”
