WWE 2K24: Latest Previews and Gameplay Videos for New Match Types and Modes

WWE 2K24 has arrived for some via early release as part of the Deluxe and 40 Years of WrestleMania editions. For everyone else, their first taste of this year’s hotly anticipated title will come Friday, with the release of the game’s Standard Edition.

The latest offering from the WWE and 2K Games franchise sees a celebration of four decades of WrestleMania in the Showcase of the Immortals feature, allowing gamers to play 21 of the event’s most memorable matches, including Bret “Hitman” Hart vs. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper from 1992, The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels from 2009, and Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte from a year ago.

MyRISE allows players to take their created characters on two different storyline paths.

The first one, in the men’s division, sees them attempt to fill the shoes of Roman Reigns, who has gone Hollywood, opening up a spot at the top of WWE. Not only will they have to prove they are main event material, but they can beat Reigns when he returns to assume his role as The Head of the Table once more.

The second, the women’s division offering, sees the created character make the jump from successful indie company runner to WWE, where she will have the opportunity to prove herself on the biggest stage imaginable.

The storyline mode features twists, turns, and cameos by current WWE Superstars.

The MyGM mode has been a favorite of fans for a while now and the additions to it are bound to keep that tradition alive.

The addition of new general managers, the implementation of talent scouts, the ability to execute trades between brands, and the addition of new power cards are just a few of the revised and improved elements.

Players can draft their rosters, build their shows, and create exciting rivalries and segments on their television shows while competing against fellow GMs, controlled either by the computer or in a multiplayer setting.

From controlling details of contracts to meeting the demands of the Superstars, it is an immersive mode and one of the bright spots of the game every year.

With an abundant roster of 200-plus Superstars, and numerous modes and match types to compete in, WWE 2K24 looks to be a release worthy of its fandom, with something for all generations of fans to keep busy and invested in.
