Olivia Munn announced on Wednesday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023 and underwent a double mastectomy shortly thereafter.
The âOffice Christmas Partyâ star, 43, explained that she and her sister tested negative for the BRCA gene â the most well-known gene to cause cancer â and her mammogram came back clear, but her doctor decided to calculate her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score just in case.
âThe fact that she did saved my life,â Munn wrote in a lengthy statement shared on Instagram, noting that her risk was 37 percent.
