7 Best Flower Subscriptions, Tested & Reviewed 2024
Our tester tried the classic version. At $129, it’s definitely more expensive than your average mid-tier option (you have to pay for shipping, too), but the whole thing really was a fun experience. Plus, the hard work yielded a very generously-sized arrangement to enjoy. “I wouldn’t say my floral arrangement looks quite as good as the pros, but I’m definitely learning all about the art of arranging flowers,” our tester told us. “And I love that I’ve been able to reuse the lucite vase with local flowers as I perfect the art.”
Pros: Comes with everything you need to DIY a professional-grade arrangement; three sizes to choose from; includes clear photographic instructions
Cons: More expensive than most; our tester would have preferred a glass vase
Best From Local Florists: 1-800-Flowers
Original video by Glamour contributor Brigitt Earley
1-800-Flowers has been around forever, and now we fully understand why. Don’t discount this option as commercial, because they delivered one of the most beautiful and fresh blooms we received during testing. The flowers looked like something you’d see in a wedding bouquet. Did we mention they were stunning? It makes sense: The flowers are all sourced from local florists, so they’re at peak freshness when they arrive on your doorstep. The only downside to this model is that the quality of the arrangement you receive is dependent on the caliber of florists in your area.
When selecting your monthly flower subscription, you can choose three different options: a one-of-a-kind bouquet, a fresh market bouquet, or two dozen roses. Once you select the category of flowers you’d like to receive, choose from a whopping six different sizes, ranging from small to premium, before checkout. We like that the small is only $33, so it’s a more affordable option for gifting.
Pros: Flowers come arranged by local florists, a wide range of offerings at different price points, easy to skip or cancel
Cons: Caliber is somewhat dependent on your local florists
Best Selection: Farmgirl Flowers

What better way to celebrate yourself or a loved one than with flowers from a women-founded and mostly women-led company? Farmgirl Flowers offers a unique subscription option that sources flowers from (mostly) domestic flower farms and ships them to your door in biodegradable up-cycled burlap coffee sacks.
The company offers eight different subscriptions available in various sizes, all of which have a somewhat whimsical vibe. Glamour staffers have been blessed with Farmgirl flowers on more than one occasion, and each bouquet seems prettier than the next. The colors are always stunning, and the flowers unique with lots of texture. “I love how fast delivery is,” says Glamour contributor Brigitt Earley. “Most subscription plans have lead times of five days or more, but Farmgirl Flowers showed next-day delivery dates.” The downside? You do have to pay for shipping—for our location, the cost was $25.
Pros: Eco-friendly practices; mostly domestic flowers; unique arrangements; wide range of choices
Cons: Shipping is expensive
Best Long-Lasting: Harry & David Bulb of the Month

For true gardeners, consider Harry & David’s Bulb of the Month club. This unique option trades your traditional bouquet of flowers for pre-potted bulbs that bloom within two to four weeks of receipt. While you won’t have flowers to enjoy right away, this really extends the fun. And, depending on the time of year, you can even plant the bulbs in your garden to live in perpetuity.
The selections are all tailored to the season. For example, you’ll get tulips in May, paperwhites in September, and amaryllis in November. The website clearly states which flowers come when, so you’ll always know what to expect. We love that each one comes with very specific care instructions, too.
Pros: Flexible delivery frequency, first order comes with a decorative planter, long-lasting experience
Cons: Expensive
