Kourtney Kardashian Shares a Bikini Pic Alongside a Message for New Moms: ‘You Are Beautiful’

Kourtney Kardashian Barker has a message for new moms feeling their postpartum bodies adjust: Be kind to yourself.

The mom of four, who recently welcomed son Rocky Thirteen with her husband, drummer Travis Barker, posted some self-love reflections from a tropical getaway with her sisters. The eldest KarJenner sister wore a black bikini to play in the crystal-blue water, and took a moment to express not only gratitude but love for the body that carried her children.

“Dear new mommies,” she wrote on Instagram Stories, including a picture of herself. “Your body is beautiful at all stages. During pregnancy as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting. And if you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it.”

“I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal,” the Lemme founder continued. “The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different isn’t realistic. Life is beautiful, you are beautiful. Just a little reminder (for me too).”

It’s a refreshing message for her to share. Unlike sisters Kim and Khloé, whose open fixation on thinness disappointed some viewers of their Hulu show, Kourtney Kardashian Barker has repeatedly stated that her at her thinnest is not her at her best. “When I’m super skinny, just know I’m not happy,” she revealed on the show, reflecting on past relationships and how they affected her health. She also praised Barker for helping her feel more comfortable with her body now.

“Every day, Travis is like, ‘You’re perfect,’” she added. “If I make one complaint, he’s like, ‘You’re perfect, you’re so fine…you’re so fine, you’ve never been better,’ and now I’m like—I’m so into it. Having a partner who’s so supportive of me and always complimenting me no matter what, it’s just like helped me to really embrace the changes, and actually to the point where I love the changes now.”
