Singapore T100 Triathlon World Tour: Start times, preview and watch live

This weekend, the T100 Triathlon World Tour will host its second event of the year in Singapore, with some of the best triathletes in the world battling it out over the 100km distance at the Singapore T100.

Featuring triathlon legends such as Alistair Brownlee, plus reigning IRONMAN World Champions Sam Laidlow and Lucy Charles-Barclay, both start lists are stacked with talent.

In our preview of the race below, you can find all the information you need including start times, streaming information and a preview of both fields.

Start times and how to watch live

In Singapore, the women’s race will take place on Saturday April 13, with the professional women kicking things off at 14:15 local time. This corresponds to 07:15 in the UK, 08:15 in Central Europe and 23:15 on the West Coast on Friday April 14.

For the men, the starting gun will go off at 15:15 local time on Sunday April 14. This corresponds to 08:15 in the UK, 09:15 in Central Europe and 00:15 on the West Coast.

In Europe, the races can be watched on Eurosport or Discovery+. Watch the official broadcast below, available outside of Europe.

Pro Women

Leading the way this weekend is 2023 PTO Tour Asian Open champion Ashleigh Gentle, who is the most successful athlete ever over the 100km distance with three career wins to her name.

The Australian, who starts her season in Singapore, hasn’t finished off the podium at a race since The Championship back in May 2022, having also won 50% of her last 16 races.

Facing stiff competition this weekend, Gentle will take on British contenders India Lee and Charles-Barclay, who are coming off the back of a brilliant 1-2 performance at the Miami T100 last month.

Other in-form athletes include Chelsea Sodaro, the newly crowned champion of IRONMAN New Zealand, and wildcard Ellie Salthouse, who a fortnight ago won IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong on home soil in Australia.

Imogen Simmonds, who finished fourth in Singapore last season, is set to race after missing Miami, with the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship bronze medalist tipped by many as a dark horse for the overall title in 2024.

Finally, Brits Lucy Byram and Lucy Buckingham will be favoured by many for a good result, with the former finishing a solid sixth in Florida and the latter at the front of the race until she was forced to drop out due to illness.

Pro Men

Coming in as the series leader and highest ranked athlete in the PTO World Rankings, Ditlev will be the main contender this weekend, but only if he can make it to the start line.

The Dane, who crashed his bike in training earlier this week, suffered injuries to his knee and wrist and it is yet to be seen if he will make it to the race on Sunday.

In his absence, the American duo of Sam Long and Jason West will fancy their chances, with Long coming straight off the back of three consecutive podiums in Pucon, Miami and most recently IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside.

Belgian Pieter Heemeryck, who finished second in Singapore last year with a breakthrough performance is another contender, with IRONMAN World Champion Sam Laidlow another athlete who can never be overlooked.

Finally, Brownlee will be viewed by many as one of the heavy favourites, especially if he has managed to progress from his raw and brave performance in Miami last month, where he just missed the podium in fifth.
