Tia Mowry Set To Star In New Reality Show On Life Post-Divorce
Tia Mowry is returning to reality TV with her new show, Tia Mowry: My Next Chapter, for AMC Network’s WEtv.
The show was announced at AMC Networks’ 2024 Upfronts Presentation on Thursday (April 11). It is set to follow the Sister, Sister star as she navigates life and motherhood on her own following her divorce from actor Cory Hardrict.
“I am excited to share more about myself, both personally and professionally. Having been in the public eye for most my life, things often get misinterpreted, or people get misled. I am excited to pull back the curtain on this next chapter of my life,” said Mowry in a statement.
Via Instagram, the beloved actress added, “Lately I’ve been taking my power back. I’m so lucky to have a community – YOU ALL – that are so close to my life, the ups and downs, my wins and my struggles. An intention I set this year is to embrace ALL that I’m experiencing, so I’m removing the filter like never before […] I’m ready to date, take my multiple businesses to the next level, and discover what makes me happy. With this exciting new chapter comes profound changes and adjustments to the roles I play in my everyday life and my next act.”
Brett Dismuke, Head of Content at WE tv and ALLBLK, expressed in a statement, “It’s been a joy watching Tia’s career progress since starring on beloved series Sister, Sister, to culture classic The Game and films such as Baggage Claim, proving she is the epitome of a true force within the industry. Tia has maintained tremendous success with a prolific career that continues to evolve, however, there is much more than meets the eye. We are thrilled Tia trusted WE tv to share her unfiltered journey, giving viewers deeply personal and unapologetic access as she enters her next chapter.”
From 2011 until 2013, Mowry starred alongside her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, in their reality show, Tia & Tamera. It offered fans of the duo a chance to gain rare insight into their personal and professional lives as they juggled the demands of the business plus motherhood and marriage. It lasted for three seasons.
