After a two-year hiatus, the Emmy Award-winning comedy series Hacks — which stars Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder — returns for season three.

Hacks: Season Three Premiere Date, Episode Release Schedule
The first two episodes of Hacks season three are available to stream on Max starting Thursday, May 2. The third season has a nine-episode run, with two new episodes released every Thursday until the finale drops on May 30.
Hacks follows the hilariously toxic relationship between Deborah Vance (Jean Smart), a legendary Las Vegas comedian trying to stage a comeback, and Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder), a younger sad sack comedy writer. Season three finds Deborah grappling with newly found success, while Ava is down on her luck as she tries to fit in with Deborah’s new life.
The comedy series also stars Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Megan Stalter, Paul W. Downs, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, Poppy Liu and others.
