Do you need help playing against Olaf in League of Legends? Don’t worry—here are the best champions to help you climb the LoL ladder.

Olaf is one of the best Bruisers to play in League of Legends, and also the most fun. Many players are often baited by Olaf players trying to attack them when they are in low health. Little do they know that is when Olaf is at his strongest. His healing is a game changer and his Ultimate makes him pretty much unstoppable. So the question is, how do you stop Olaf? This article will bring you the three best counters to Olaf in League of Legends right now.

Best Olaf Counters in LoL
Camille

If there is one champion that can match up to Olaf in the early game is Camille. Camille according to Mobalytics statistically is the best-performing champion into Olaf in League of Legends. The noyl time they must be weary of Olaf is in the first couple of levels, as trading against him will only go one way and that is an early kill for him. Camille has very strong trading of her own and she can heal back up with her W. When you are not looking to trade with him, try to get behind as many minions as possible. Camille has the opportunity to bait out Olaf’s ultimate with her E. By dashing in, this can force Olaf to use his ultimate preemptively. If you are in a good state, an early executioner’s calling is a great item, this will reduce the amount of healing Olaf can do.

Garen
Garen is a very strong top laner right now in League of Legends and performs well against Olaf in the lane. Garens passive naturally allows him to heal up over time if he has not taken any damage. Meanwhile, Olaf has to be using his abilities while his health is low. This gives Garen the advantage when both are level six. Garen will be able to silence Olaf, use his ignite, and then use his ultimate to execute him. As is the case with most matchups into Olaf, try not to get baited by a level two brawl with him, he will gain more attack speed and life steal the less health he has and will be able to kill you.

Trundle
This is where things get interesting. Trundle is infact a great counter into Olaf, but you need to set up the lane correctly in order to get the most of out this match up. Trundle’s E is great for forcing out Olaf’s ultimate, because he will constantly be scared that your jungler is in the area, so he will likely pop his Ghost and his ultimate early to try and get out of dodge. Although Trundle has healing capabilities, they are not as strong as Garen and Camille on this list. So make sure to not let him poke you down with his Q, if he hits you a couple of times, pop your W and your E if you wish and run away. If you are in a much better position health wise, use your ultimate to drain his stats. Olaf wins the ultimate fight if both champions are of similar strength and similar HP, so be careful thinking you are stronger than him.

According to Mobalytics, Yasuo has the worst pick rate into Olaf in the Top Lane in League of Legends with a win rate of just over 42%. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Olaf can slice through Yasuo like butter thanks to his healing when in low health. Yasuo can get him low, but won’t be able to finish him off. And when both players get level 6, there is no chance for Yasuo to beat Olaf in the 1v1. Olaf’s ultimate literally counters Yasuo, leaving them unable to press R themselves even if they land the Q knock-up. And with Olaf being a tankier champion, there is little to no way for Yasuo to win this match-up.

According to Mobalytics, here are the best champions to play with Olaf in League of Legends on patch 14.8. Please note that this article will be updated as new patches are released.
