‘Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka V’ Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, First Promo

The official website of the Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka V: Houjou no Megami-hen (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V) television anime unveiled additional cast, staff, and the first promo on Thursday. The television anime is set to premiere in Fall 2024.

New staff includes Yuuki Kobayashi (Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru background art) replacing Jeong-Ryeon Kim as art director. Jeong-Ryeon Kim and Akira Suzuki (Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid art director) are credited for art design.

Hideki Tachibana (Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei) is returning the direct the fifth season at J.C.Staff. Original creator Fujino Oomori and Hideki Shirane (Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) are handling the series composition. Shigeki Kimoto (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Movie: Orion no Ya) and Keiji Inai (Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha) are also returning to handle the character design and music, respectively.

The anime series, abbreviated as DanMachi, adapts Fujino Omori’s adventure fantasy light novel, which he originally submitted for the 4th GA Bunko Award in 2012 and received a publication offer. SB Creative began publishing the novel with illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda in January 2013 and released the 19th volume in September 2023.

Young Gangan began serializing a manga adaptation by Kunieda in August 2013. Taisei Yagami began drawing a second manga adaptation in December 2019, and Square Enix published the fifth volume in November 2023.

Yen Press licensed both the manga and light novel in English in October 2014 and December 2014, respectively. The 18th light novel volume went on sale on January 23, with the 19th volume scheduled to be released on August 20. The fourth volume of the second manga was released in October 2023, and the fifth volume is scheduled to be released on September 17.
