Prince William and Prince George Head to Manchester City vs. Manchester United Match

Even though Kate Middleton remains out of the spotlight as she recovers from treatments for an unspecified cancer diagnosis, her husband, Prince William continues his measured return to the public eye. And for the second time in recent weeks, that return has included a stop at a soccer game, with his eldest son, Prince George, at his side.

William and George were in the stands at Wembley Stadium to watch the Football Association Challenge Cup on Saturday, in an engagement that was arguably a mix of work and play: as People notes, one of William’s many official duties is to hand the FA trophy off to the winning team, as part of his job as president of England and Wales’s governing body for soccer.

Manchester United was the victor, topping its rivals in a final score of 2-1. While William was arguably agnostic, as he’s a fan of non-competing team Aston Villa, George was seen getting in on the action with an occasional hoot and holler.
