You only get one Cannes Film Festival debut—and Joey King sure made the most of hers.

The 24-year-old actor recently wowed spectators at the Cannes premiere of The Most Precious Of Cargoes, showing up to the Croisette in a sheer blue corset gown with sparkling details. She topped off her custom design by Cong Tri with perfectly matched Gianvito Rossi heels and Gabriel & Co. fine jewels, finishing everything off with an icy manicure in the GelBottle Inc. shade Glacier.

“My first Cannes,” she captioned an Instagram post about the look. “To the [L’OrĂ©al Paris] team, THANK YOU! I am typing this with the biggest smile on my face. And thank you [Cong Tri] for this custom gown, I felt sexy, and felt like a princess. Didn’t know both at the same time were achievable.”

While the ice princess vibes were definitely strong, King’s cascading blonde waves gave the arctic look a bit of a mermaid twist—but it wasn’t to last.

Other than referencing her icy debut with crystal-dripping opera gloves, Joey King completely transformed for Cannes Film Festival’s closing ceremony on May 25, showing up on the red carpet in a yellow keyhole column dress and brand-new, ultra-short mushroom bob. “Custom @miumiu & a chop for Cannes day 2 with @lorealparis,” King captioned another post, lest you questioned if she was somehow hiding her length for the aesthetic. Hey, celebs do it all the time!

Nope, Joey King’s bob appears to be the real deal, despite what one follower suggested. For her latest red carpet moment, she sported a middle-part, with the ends curved towards her jaw and one side of her bob tucked behind her ear. Let’s take a closer look:

Clearly, Joey King was looking to make an impact at the French film festival—and this bold transformation certainly did the trick.
