THE bones have spoken, predicting the outcome of this yearā€™s elections. But are they right? Ā

A well-known Free State sangoma, Kabelo “Mathanzima” Molefe, poured cold water on Mzansi political parties’ mission to unseat the ANC in power in the highly contested elections. Ā

Mathanzima said he was guided by his ancestors to reveal which political party would govern the country after the polls.Ā

ā€” Joseph Mokoaledi (@JosephMoko25178) May 30, 2024He said the ANC will emerge victorious, though it won’t win with an extreme majority compared to previous years.Ā Ā

“The ANC will win the elections. It’s still going to win, though with a lesser margin, compared to previous years. The ANC is a liberation party, and many people have voted for it, not because it delivers but for loyalty. Apart from that, there’s no opposition. Ā

ā€œWe don’t have a single opposition party that’s coherent. This fragment of political parties is another factor that gives the ANC an edge. As a governing party, the ANC has a range of projects they can manipulate to their advantage for them to win,” he said.Ā

Meanwhile, in Tshwane, a traditional healer in Mamelodi threw bones and said his ancestors pointed out that the ANC will win elections. Ā

He said the ANC would win by a huge margin. Ā

ā€” Aaron Dube (@AronDube) May 24, 2024The traditional healer further said the ANC will surprise many parties.Ā Ā

He said the new MK party will do well and come second.Ā

Kenneth Jeta, chairman of the Greater Tshwane Traditional and Faith Healers Council, told Daily SunĀ his ancestors have indicated the ANC will win with over 60% of the votes.Ā

Jeta said his ancestors showed him many people still love the ANC. Ā

“My ancestors say it’ll win even better than in the previous elections. People are still angry with the past leadership, which was corrupt,” he said.Ā

The sangoma said there are some people, who want to trigger violence during the elections, but amadlozi says there’ll be no violence, and people should not worry. Ā

He said there are some people who want war and won’t succeed because the spirits of former ANC stalwarts Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, and Walter Sisulu are watching and will protect South Africans.Ā

Again, Traditional healers in Limpopo have weighed in on the next party that will emerge victorious in the most contested general elections the country has ever seen. Ā

Sangoma Reggie Tsiane and Gogo Helen Momokele consulted the ancestors to get the signal.Ā

Sangoma Reggie Tsiane predicts a win for the ANC.

Tsiane said he had a dream prior to the elections and saw fire and water. ā€œIn my dream, I saw a consuming fire, people screaming and being burnt to ashes, but in the midst of that, I saw stormy rain with lightning that calmed the fire down.Ā

ā€œMy bones now predict that the party ruling now will emerge victorious. This party accepts its failures. Bo rakgolo (ancestors) also indicated that one problem is going to cause conflict. The party is currently in power and will remain in power after elections,” he said.Ā

Gogo Mamokele said people must pray as violence may erupt.

ā€œThere’s a high chance of violence in these elections. We must pray very hard. Although I canā€™t really predict which party is going to win, the ruling party stands a chance to emerge victorious, but it’ll win with small numbers as compared to previous elections,” Gogo Mamokele said.Ā
