Breaks are underway for two popular Shonen Jump series, with both Kohei Horikoshiās My Hero Academia and Gege Akutamiās Jujutsu Kaisen announcing two-week hiatuses. The series are set to return to Jump on July 1, 2024, which is when this yearās 31st issue hits stands in Japan.
While thereās no reason listed for the My Hero Academia hiatus, the series recently entered its āepilogueā and plans to continue a bit longer.
As for Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutamiās author notes cite a combination of poor health and a āstrange condition.ā Akutami didnāt elaborate any further on the latter.
The My Hero Academia manga has been running in Jump since July 2014, so weāre coming up on the 10th anniversary. The Jujutsu Kaisen manga started in March 2018, and the possibility of it ending sometime this year has been teased in the past.
