2024 Bronny James NBA Draft odds: Lakers favored; bettors assuming he falls

With the 2024 NBA Draft set to begin Wednesday, a lot — if not all — eyes are on Bronny James.

As of June 26, Bronny has only worked out with two teams before the 2024 NBA Draft — the Lakers and the Suns.

The Dallas Mavericks appear to be among the teams that remain interested as their odds moved from +2500 to +900 in the past week.

Still, despite apparent growing interest from other teams, the Lakers remain the favorites.

Just last week, the Lakers were +160 to draft Bronny. They are now -135.

According to BetMGM, Bronny James’ NBA Draft Over/Under odds have significantly shifted. The O/U market has moved from 41.5 to 50.5 in recent days.

The shift directly reflects the money coming in on Bronny’s Over draft position, as bettors apparently believe he will fall late in the second round; 88% of bets and 83% of money wagered are on his Over.

Here’s what the latest odds say, via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Rich Paul says Bronny James is ‘not doing’ a two-way deal According to the James family’s agent, Rich Paul, Bronny James is ‘not doing’ a two-way deal.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Keyshawn Johnson broke down what he believes Paul is angling for.

“His agent wants to make sure he’s on a real deal. … There’s only certain slots for those 15 guys to get real deals and everybody else has slots for two-way guys. He doesn’t want to be on that because he wants to get significant development. I think some other team either selects him in the second round or signs him as an undrafted free agent, and if he doesn’t develop or make the team, then he would join the Lakers. That’s the way I see it.”

The Lakers have the 17th and 55th pick.

Bronny played in 25 games at USC, averaging 19.4 minutes per contest, as he missed the first month of the season after he suffered cardiac arrest last August.

He averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 assists per game last season.
