Keke Jabbar, star of reality show Love & Marriage: Huntsville, has reportedly died at the age 42 according to her cousin and fellow cast member LaTisha Moore Scott.
“At this time we are asking for RESPECT, and PRIVACY in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss!” Moore-Scott shared on Instagram. “This is hard for our Family!!!!!”
As of publication, a cause of death has not been revealed.
On Jabbar’s own Instagram page, comments began pouring in under her most recent posts from fans, friends, and more.
“I am absolutely devastated! Sending many prayers and hugs to your beautiful kids, family, castmates and friends. REST IN POWER gorgeous. No more mean spirits, lies being told about you, no more family drama…..just PEACE,” read one comment. “My heart is broken cuz. You will be missed and we are praying healing for the rest of the family!”
On the OWN show, Jabbar and her cousin Scott had many disagreements throughout the series, including a time that resulted in Jabbar throwing a drink in Scott’s face.
“Why do I continue to give this relationship a chance?” Jabbar said in a clip from the episode. “This is so unnecessary.” Jabbar could be seen tossing a liquid in Scott’s face, leading someone to demand that she gets drug tested.
Discussing the episode on a reunion show, Jabbar was asked by Carlos King if she’d ever taken any drugs, to which she responded, “I’ve never taken any kind of hard drug. I’ve never taken anything, heroin, cocaine, crack… I’ve never taken anything like that.”
King then asked if she was “sober” throughout filming, which she declared that she was.
The OWN show, Love & Marriage: Huntsville, follows three African-American couples who thrive in the city of Huntsville, Al., while working together with their joint real estate venture, The Comeback Group.
