Cities: Skylines 2’s Xbox Release Delayed Again, Dev Blames ‘Unresolved Issues’

“We understand this is disappointing”

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Cities: Skylines 2 on Xbox Game Pass ever since it was announced back in mid-2023, and although it’s since joined PC Game Pass, the console version has yet to release.

Unfortunately, it’s sounding like it’ll miss 2024 entirely now, as the developer has confirmed that a planned October launch won’t be happening due to “unresolved issues”. Here’s what the team had to say earlier today:

“Unfortunately, we have not yet met the stability and performance targets we set for the console release. Without a Release Candidate (RC), we are now unable to meet an October release window.”
