After taking part in NBC’s coverage of the Olympics opening ceremonies on Friday, Peyton Manning made a pit stop to meet the USA men’s basketball team.
USA Basketball posted a video showing the Pro Football Hall of Famer greeting LeBron James, Stephen Curry and other members of the squad during Saturday’s practice.

Manning got to work with Mike Tirico and Kelly Clarkson as co-hosts for the opening ceremonies in Paris.
Manning and James have been notable collaborators of late. Their production companies, along with Higher Ground Productions from Barack and Michelle Obama, joined together to develop an NBA documentary series in the vein of Netflix’s Quarterback.
Team USA wrapped up its final practice session on Saturday before its first game. The U.S. will open group play at the Olympics against Serbia on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. ET.
James is looking to win his fourth career Olympic medal and third gold. This is his first appearance in the Olympics since 2012. Curry is making his first Olympic appearance. He last played for the U.S. in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
