The first-ever offseason version of Hard Knocks wrapped up on Tuesday, and it showcased the New York Giants wrapping up their 2024 draft and entering their offseason activities.

The Giants led their draft with LSU star wideout Malik Nabers at No. 6 overall, but the Hard Knocks cameras revealed that the Indianapolis Colts offered their No. 15 and No. 46 in this year’s draft and a 2025 second-round pick to move up to No. 6.

However, Giants general manager Joe Schoen turned it down. The New York Jets also tried to move up from No. 10 to No. 6. A few fans were happy the Giants didn’t take the Colts’ offer.

Bobby Skinner @BobbySkinner_Giants Hard Knocks Final episode thoughts

-Glad Joe Schoen didn’t accept the Colts offer of 15, 46 & 2025 2nd
-Clear that Kool-Aid McKinstrey & Kamri Lassiter were what they wanted at 47 by a decent margin. CB2 is biggest weakness on team that wasn’t addressed at all
-I’d takeā€¦

Gridiron Media @Gridiron_Media_The Jets and Colts tried to trade up for the 6th pick, as shown on Hard Knocks.

Glad the Giants stayed and picked.

The Giants clearly loved Nabers, though, as was evidenced in last week’s episode too.

Bobby Skinner @BobbySkinner_Brian Daboll had Malik Nabers as WR1 in the Draft.

Elsewhere in the draft, it was clear the Giants were looking for a cornerback with their second-round pick, namely Georgia’s Kamari Lassiter or Alabama’s Kool Aid McKinstry. Both got picked beforehand, but the Giants got another player they liked in Minnesota safety Tyler Nubin.

The Giants Report @giantsreport1Daboll and co. looked visibly upset when both Kool-Aid McKinstry and Kamari Lassiter came off the board right in front of them #NYGiants #HardKnocks

Giants 366 @Giants366The Giants wanted CBs Kool-Aid McKinstry and Kamari Lassiter at the top of the 2nd round. Both players went before the Giants picked.

Schoen said the Giants would have needed to give up a 4th to move up.

The Giants ended up taking S Tyler Nubin.

Zain @ThisIsNotZainThat 2nd round corner run was disappointing, Giants def could have benefitted from a starting outside CB #Giants100 #NYGiants #HardKnocks

One player the Giants targeted and got was Penn State tight end Theo Johnson, a prospect who went in the fourth round and could very well be TE1 for Big Blue.

The series ended with a zoom-out of Schoen watching an offseason practice from up above the second floor of Giants headquarters as Daboll’s voice took over with Ace Frehley’s “New York Groove” playing in the background. It was a cool end to a candid and revealing look into the Giants, and fans gave it good reviews.
