Ahead of the much-anticipated release of Madden NFL 25 on Aug. 16, EA Sports dropped a new trailer on Wednesday that detailed some of the new features in Franchise Mode and Presentation:
In addition to unveiling new aspects like Team Builder, Franchise Central and the NFL Draft Night experience, it was revealed that the game will have new broadcasting teams consisting of Kate Scott with Brock Huard, Greg Olsen with Mike Tirico and Brandon Gaudin with Charles Davis.
Josh Looman, the lead designer for Franchise Mode, detailed some of the updates coming to Madden NFL 25. This year’s game was crafted with a focus on “three main pillars: Immersion, Customization, and Depth and Core improvements.”
“In Madden NFL 25, we’re giving you new ways to craft your story with the new, authentic NFL Draft Night experience, the ability to manage player personalities through Dynamic Storylines, delving into the depths of Franchise Central and much more,” Looman explained. “We’ve added layers of complexity and engagement that will make your gameplay experience look and feel more rewarding. The team has put in countless hours to bring these innovations to life, and I can’t wait for you to experience it all firsthand.”
A feature that will surely excite fans is the ability to shape their franchise’s story through over 70 brand new storylines, which would span over the entirety of a season. Looman provided an example of the type of situation game players could be navigating through in Franchise Mode.
“In one of our storylines, you’ll have a player who shows up to training camp out of shape. How you react and the choices you make will have a different impact based on your player’s personality type,” Looman stated. “Push the right buttons? You’ll motivate him to play better than he normally would for the first three weeks of the season. Say the wrong thing and he’ll start the year out of shape.”
Team Builder will also draw some attention, as it will allow fans to craft their own franchise from the ground up. Presentation features like 3-D grass and turf, player and coach likeness and depth of field and motion blur will provide an authentic visual experience.
These new features are sure to satisfy fans who have been hoping for innovations to come to the Madden franchise.
