Fortnite Reload Chapter 2 – Play Huge Fan Made Reboot map
Fortnite Reload Chapter 2 is here, kind of. How can you play this version of the second Chapter?
Fortnite Reload is a really fun addition to the game, a mini-Battle Royale with reboots turned on throughout. What’s really exciting though is that it’s a re-visit to Chapter 1’s iconic map in a way. What about Chapter 2 though?
Chapter 1 is well and good. It’s when Fortnite first broke out. But what about the second Chapter? Plenty of the most popular Fortnite moments came in Chapter 2, there’s just as much nostalgia for that time in the game.
We’re still waiting for Fortnite OG to return, and take us back to the proper Chapter 2. However, in the meantime, we’ve got something that’ll fill that hole. Fortnite Reload Chapter 2.
Is this a new map that offers yet another version of Battle Royale? It’s not quite an official Epic-made mode. However, for a Creative map, this is an expansive creation. It’s a much more polished game mode than a lot of Creative.
Fortnite Reboot Chapter 2 is an experience that gives a good idea of what a Reload for the second part of the game would look like.
There are quite a few differences to keep in mind though. Between the memory limit and Epic’s policy on re-using old Battle Royale maps, there are a few compromises. However, Fortnite Reload Chapter 2 is a good re-creation of how the game mode would look.
What is the new map and how can you play it?
Fortnite Reload Chapter 2
Epic hasn’t made their own official Chapter 2 version of Reload. The game mode’s smaller group sizes and popularity have kept it pretty popular with players. However, Fortnite Reload would probably run into problems if it offered different modes for each and every Chapter.
That’s why there’s Reload Chapter 2 Code, not an official game mode playlist. These limitations prevent Reload from being officially available for each and every Chapter.
That doesn’t mean no one can have a crack at creating one though. A big Fortnite streamer has just done that, releasing Fortnite Reboot Chapter 2. The name is a little different, to differentiate it from Epic made modes.
Although, Fortnite Reboot Chapter 2 is a pretty good recreation of the kind of map we’d expect if the mode moved onto the second Chapter.
The Creative map has been made by SypherPK. He’s probably a name most Fortnite players know. He’s one of the biggest content creators for the title and one of the biggest gaming streamers as a whole.
The new map is one of quite a few his team has made. These include Deathmatches and loads of different modes. Fortnite Reboot Chapter 2 might be the most ambitious he’s attempted though.
A Reboot of the Chapter 2 Map
When bigger UEFN tools first launched, recreations of old Fortnite maps were some of the most popular content. Eventually, Epic stepped in though. No recreations of maps outside of Chapter 1 were allowed.
Even with Chapter 1, players couldn’t monetize their creations. Since it was Epic’s original work. Since this Reload Chapter 2 code is more of a remix though, it doesn’t directly break their rules.
The Reboot version of Chapter 2 takes a similar approach to the Reload of Chapter 1. It’s a shrunk-down map. Features different versions of quite a few POIs that players remember. However, it’s not a 1 to 1 remake.
This is similar to what the Fortnite Reload map does for Chapter 1. This is also quite handy for another problem with remaking battle Royale maps in Creative; the memory limit. This approach means less space and gets around the memory limit being just too small to recreate the Battle Royale map in full.
Rules and Playing Fortnite Reboot Chapter 2
The map is close to Chapter 2, but what about gameplay? You’ll find a lot of the guns you remember, just like the Reload weapons of course. However, there’s also that Fortnite Reboot twist. Respawns.
Just like in Fortnite Reload, Fortnite Reboot Chapter 2 features respawns. Players who are eliminated can reboot with a brief timer. Provided that at least one member of their Squad manages to stick it out and stay alive.
This different rule has proved fun in Reboot so far. Enough that the official reboot is now a permanent mode with small cups happening.
For the mini-Chapter 2 map in Creative, there’s another change to mix things up from Epic’s own mode. It’s a 32-player map, not 40. This will also likely help performance.
While Creative maps can go higher in play count, there is a noticeable drop off in quality for some of them. Even outside of recent bugs like Fortnite Creative not working. However, limiting it to 32 and the smaller map size should keep everything ticking over perfectly. What’s the Reload Chapter 2 code to try this out?
How to Play – Reload Chapter 2 Code
Fortnite Reboot Chapter 2 isn’t an official mode, it’s a creator-made experience. If you want to play it, you’ll need to enter the island code for Reload Chapter 2. That is:
0883-6447-8081
With this entered, you should be able to queue up and jump into the game. Fortnite Reload Chapter 2 isn’t a main mode, but since it’s being pushed by a pretty popular content creator it’s not exactly obscure.
Even with over 30 players in a match, it shouldn’t be too hard to find a game! Creative does have crossplay on by default though, so anyone playing on console with have to bring their A-game to compete with the sweats on PC.
