USA’s Suni Lee Wins Bronze Medal During Women’s Uneven Bars at 2024 Olympics

Team USA gymnast Suni Lee has claimed a second bronze Olympic medal on the women’s uneven bars.
Lee marked a score of 14.800 during Sunday’s finals to add another medal to the bronze she won at the 2020 Tokyo Games that took place in 2021.

Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour claimed gold with a score of 15.700, while Qiyuan Qiu won silver with a 15.500.
Lee narrowly edged Nina Derwael and her score of 14.766 off the podium as the Belgian finished fourth.
This marked Lee’s second strong performance on the uneven bars in Paris. She ranked second among uneven bar competitors on her way to bronze in the women’s individual all-around competition earlier this week.
Lee’s podium finish Sunday marked the next step in her comeback from multiple kidney disease diagnoses that threatened the derail her gymnastics career.
Those diagnoses led the 21-year-old to step away from her gymnastics career at Auburn in April 2023.
Just over one year later, Lee’s comeback has led her to three medals at the 2024 Games, including a team gold.
She will now have the chance to win her fourth medal of the 2024 Games when the balance beam finals take place on Monday.
