MMA fighter hits the ‘Raygun’ celebration after big victory at UFC 305

After securing a massive victory over Luana Santos at UFC 305, a euphoric Casey O’Neill hit the ‘Raygun’ celebration.

The talented MMA fighter dazzled with not just her performance in the cage, but her ability to cut some shapes as well.

Her array of funky moves, which include imitating a kangaroo, have gone viral, with a whole new wave of people paying attention to the sport for the first time.

While some, including the judges who scored all contests against her 18-0, haven’t resonated with the dancer’s unique style, others have found it thoroughly entertaining, including MMA star Casey O’Neill.

At UFC 305, which poetically took place in both Raygun and the fighter’s homeland of Australia, O’Neill won via unanimous decision before whipping out one of the moves that’s done the rounds online.

The 26-year-old did some breakdancing on the floor before going for the kangaroo, while the crowd inside the RAC Arena in Perth, cheered on.

While Raygun, whose real name is Rachael Gunn, ultimately fell significantly short of picking up any medals, at this point, she has undeniably cemented her place as one of the breakout stars of the quadrennial competition.

Riding the crest of a wave, the Scottish-born Aussie, claimed that her moves were so spectacular she may have possibly overshadowed Raygun.

“I think I did better than (Raygun) in the Olympics. … I might have to take an MMA hiatus and go and get a gold medal.”

The athlete beamed: “I think I did better than (Raygun) in the Olympics. … I might have to take an MMA hiatus and go and get a gold medal.”

However, having picked up the win inside the cage, in all likelihood, O’Neill’s future lies in the UFC.
