After their Democratic National Convention (DNC) speeches, Barack and Michelle Obama were met with loud cheers and applause. Meanwhile, Donald Trump was somewhat less pleased and impressed with Michelle and Obama! On Wednesday (August 21), he took a lil’ moment during a rally to call out the Obamas for getting “personal.”

According to Politico, Donald got his lick back at Obama and Michelle while speaking to a crowd in Asheboro, North Carolina.

“Did you see Barack Hussein Obama last night taking little shots? He was taking shots at your president, and so was Michelle,” Donald said. “You know, they always say, ‘Sir, please stick to policy, don’t get personal,’ but they’re getting personal all night, these people.”

He later asked the crowd whether he, too, should “get personal” or “not get personal.” His rally audience voted for personal, highlighting a trend of Donald going for his opponent’s jugular.

President Joe Biden even caught some smoke on Wednesday from Trump, who called out the president’s recent “bathing suit” vacation photos.

As mentioned, the Obamas shared powerful words in their hometown, Chicago, about leadership and their faith in Vice President Kamala Harris’ vision for America.

Moreover, the former president and First Lady seemingly abandoned Michelle’s 2016 mantra of going high when others go low! In fact, Michelle slammed Donnie for using the “same old con” and behaving “unpresidential.”

“Going small is petty, it’s unhealthy, and, quite frankly, it’s unpresidential,” Michelle reportedly stated, per Politico. “It’s his same old con: doubling down on ugly, misogynistic, racist lies as a substitute for real ideas and solutions that will actually make people’s lives better.”

Elsewhere in her speech, she aimed his previous viral comment about “Black jobs.” For context, he made the comment during his first presidential debate against former candidate President Joe Biden in June.

“Who’s gonna tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those Black jobs,” Michelle stated, riling up the crowd!

Meanwhile, Barack touched on a few other sore spots for Donald that Michelle didn’t! “There’s the childish nicknames, the crazy conspiracy theories, this weird obsession with crowd sizes,” Obama stated, picking at two sore spots for Donald: crowd sizes and being called “weird.”

Additionally, Mr. Obama passionately suggested that a “sequel” of Trump would be “worse.”

“We do not need four more years of bluster and bumbling and chaos. We have seen that movie before, and we all know that the sequel is usually worse. America is ready for a new chapter; America is ready for a better story. We are ready for a President Kamala Harris and Kamala Harris is ready for the job.”

According to Rolling Stone, a source has revealed that Bey threatened the GOP presidential candidate with a lawsuit after he shared a 13-second clip featuring her song ‘Freedom.’ The video campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung shared on X reportedly showed Donald stepping off a plane in Michigan.

For context, the song is an unofficial part of Kamala Harris’ campaign run. But Harris appears to have the necessary clearance that Donald’s camp doesn’t!

Rolling Stone reports that unauthorized use of music has been a norm in Trump’s campaign, with “dozens” of musicians expressing pushback and threatening legal action. Most recently, that list includes the family of Issac Hayes.
