Embarrassed by Cole Hocker at Paris Olympics Jakob Ingebrigtsen Gets Revenge at Diamond League

It has not even been 15 days since the curtain was drawn over the Paris Olympics 2024, and the Norwegian long-distance runner, Jakob Ingebrigtsen, has avenged his loss! Choosing not to hit the pause button after the biggest meet of the year, Ingebrigtsen almost immediately got back to the tracks at the Lausanne Diamond League. And in some form, his performance has just beat the likes of Cole Hocker.

In the men’s 1500m dash, Ingebrigtsen came in first with a 3:27.83 time, which is a new meet record. He not only bested his own DL record of 3:28.72 from 2023 but also defeated American athlete Hocker, who is the reigning Olympic champion. Post the same, Ingebrigtsen said, “I appreciate you coming out,“ which may be a shot fired at Josh Kerr, who missed the event this time.
