Earlier this month, two other men suspected of being involved in the bloody crime, a 42-year-old with the initials E.C., as well as a 58-year-old man with the initials V.C., were also detained.

The three suspects were detained following an investigation by law enforcement. The local news outlet, Fox 4, released a video provided by police to help identify the suspects. With the help of the media outlet’s Trackdown, all three suspects for the July robbery are now arrested.

Each of the suspects is facing capital murder charges. The trio are being held at the Dallas County jail.

Recognized as a capital felony, capital murder is an offense that may meet additional aggravating circumstances. As one of the toughest crimes in Texas, capital murder can be subject to life imprisonment with or without parole or in some cases, even the death penalty.

Aggravating factors for capital murder can include committing a murder at the same time as another felony, murdering more than one person or case-specific circumstances such as taking the life of a peace officer.

One Victim Was Shot and Killed, Another One Survived
The deadly robbery took place on the evening of July 24. At the time, police officers responded to a call about a shooting on the 300 block of East Ledbetter Drive.

Upon arrival, police uncovered two men who had been shot. One of them, a 40-year-old man identified with the initials E.N. passed away from his injuries on site. The second person was in stable condition and was taken for treatment to a hospital.

According to the Dallas Morning News, citing police data, the venue that was subject to the robbery operated as an illegal gambling outlet. Law enforcement confirmed that two men entered the illegal gambling site and demanded money and personal belongings from the two people on site.

After a short brawl, several shots were fired, one of which fatally wounded the 40-year-old victim. After the violent attack, the two robbers fled the property.

It is unclear how the third suspect was involved in the crime.
