It’s the return of a classic! Team17 has announced today that 25 years since its arrival in 1999, Worms Armageddon will be making a return in the near future, and that includes for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

This version is the “Anniversary Edition” of Worms Armageddon, which includes a bunch of improvements such as enhanced HD visuals, modern aspect ratios, a new saving system, an interactive museum featuring never-before-seen interviews, online support, and even a fully playable Game Boy Color version of Worms Armageddon!

Oh, and the release date for this one is September 26th – so it’ll be with us in less than a month’s time!

“This Anniversary edition will be released on September 26th and will now allow console players a chance to get stuck into the artillery insanity of worms, for the first time. The developers have poured a lot of love into the enhancements, with many quality-of-life improvements and a completely redesigned UI across all platform versions. ”
