A two-on-two match pitting PGA Tour golfers Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy against LIV Golf stars Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka is coming to TNT in December.

According to Alex Myers of Golf Digest, the event will take place in Las Vegas in December, but it isn’t yet clear which course will play host.

TNT has been the broadcast home of the annual match-play competition known as The Match, which began with Tiger Woods facing Phil Mickelson in 2018. The Match occurred in Las Vegas four out of the nine times it was held with three at Wynn Golf Club and one at Shadow Creek Golf Course.

The upcoming event featuring Scheffler, McIlroy, DeChambeau and Koepka is significant for many reasons, including the PGA vs. LIV aspect.

Also, the aforementioned golfers are four the best and most accomplished players in the world right now, which should make for a high-level competition.

Scheffler is the No. 1 player in the world and is coming off a historic season, as he won his second career major at the Masters, won an Olympic gold medal in Paris and clinched his first FedEx Cup by winning the Tour Championship last week.

McIlroy is a four-time major champion and has won a record three FedEx Cups, DeChambeau is a two-time major champ, including this year’s U.S. Open, and Koepka is a five-time major winner.

Not to be forgotten is the fact that DeChambeau and Koepka were once considered arguably the biggest rivals in golf, and they even faced each other in the November 2021 edition of The Match, which Koepka won.

Now, DeChambeau and Koepka will join forces as LIV Golf representatives against the two biggest stars the PGA Tour has to offer.
