Video: Johnny Manziel Announces New ‘Glory Daze’ Interview Series

Former Texas A&M and Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is continuing to grow his presence in sports media.

Manziel is launching “Glory Daze,” a weekly podcast series produced in partnership with Almost Friday Media and set to debut this fall.

The interviews will focus on “the best throwback stories in sports,” according to a teaser trailer released on Manziel’s YouTube channel.

The podcast will feature Manziel “interviewing sports legends as they reminisce on some of the most remarkable moments and eras in sports,” according to a press release (h/t Awful Announcing’s Andrew Bucholtz).

Manziel will also be joining Action Network’s Big Bets on Campus podcast for the 2024 season, when he is scheduled to appear on Tuesday and Friday episodes.

The former Heisman Trophy winner made his debut on the podcast on Aug. 30.

Manziel became the first college freshman to win the Heisman after he eclipsed 5,000 total yards of offense for Texas A&M during the Aggies’ first SEC season in 2012.

After he was selected with the No. 22 pick in the 2014 NFL draft, Manziel played in 14 games for the Browns between 2014 and 2015.

Following his NFL career, Manziel played in other leagues including the CFL, Alliance of American Football and Fan Controlled Football.
