Stellies have already lost the likes of Iqraam Rayners, Anicet Oura and Antonio Van Wyk in this window, but the Cape winelands outfit are adamant on not losing a fourth attacking player.
Well-placed Siya sources have informed the crew that teenage sensation Langelihle âMajorâ Phili has attracted interest from Gautengâs biggest sides, despite having only recently made his Stellenbosch debut.
Having come through the Stellenbosch DStv Diski side, Phili is believed to be on an amateur contract; however, word reaching the crewâs desk is that Stellies want to hold onto the SA youth international and are working around the clock to tie him down to a long-term contract, and in doing so, deflecting the Gauteng side’s interest in the Stellies striker.
Phili recently made his Stellenbosch debut in the CAF Confederations Cup, where he also found the back of the net in a 5-0 win over Nsingizini Hotspurs FC.
