Snl24 | Anele Mdoda promises unforgettable night!

Anele Mdoda, who will host the 2024 DStv Content Creator Awards at the Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton.

RENOWNED media personality and host Anele Mdoda has been announced as the host of this year’s DStv Content Creator Awards.

The event, whose aim is to celebrate voices that define the digital age, will be held at the Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, north of Joburg, on 12 October.

This year’s awarding ceremony will for the first time take place in an exclusive, custom-built venue on the Square.

Anele promises to take guests through an unforgettable night celebrating the best in content creation.

“I’m beyond excited to be hosting this year’s DStv Content Creator Awards. The energy, creativity, absolute magic these creators bring is electric. Get ready for a night full of surprises, laughter and standout moments celebrating the phenomenal talent that’s shaping the future of entertainment in South Africa,” she said.

Anele promises to bring her A-game as this year’s host because creators deserve nothing less than a show as daring and dynamic as they are.

After the awarding ceremony, Channel O will present the official After-Party, which is set to be an exclusive takeover at the Hard Rock CafĂŠ with top-tier DJs giving an unforgettable night of music and celebration.

The awards are a critical platform that recognises and uplifts South Africa’s most innovative creators, giving them the recognition they deserve for shaping cultural narratives and pushing boundaries in the content space.

From social media stars to podcasters and visionary short filmmakers, the DStv Content Creator Awards are crucial in elevating the country’s digital landscape and supporting the broader creative industry.

Nominees were announced on 15 August, and the voting line will be closed on Thursday, 26 September.
