This Beloved Real Housewives of Miami Star Is Leaving the Show
‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ Season 6 EXPLOSIVE Reunion Trailer
Miami just got a little less hot.
That’s because Dr. Nicole Martin announced she’s leaving The Real Housewives of Miami ahead of the Bravo series’ upcoming seventh season.
The decision to walk away comes amid the anesthesiologist’s recent battle with postpartum anxiety after the birth of her and fiancé Anthony Lopez’s second child, 5-month-old daughter Genevieve.
“Taking a moment to shine a light on something I’ve been quietly navigating in my personal life,” Nicole—who is also mom to their son Grayson, 5—shared in a Sept. 13 Instagram post, noting Genevieve was born over a month early and had to spend two weeks in the NICU. “After this pregnancy, I started to suffer from significant postpartum anxiety—something new that I did not experience with my previous pregnancy.”
“It all started about a week after giving birth when I found myself having an overwhelming sense of worry and fear out of nowhere,” the 40-year-old continued. “It felt like my mind was constantly on high alert, panicked and worrying endlessly about the health of my baby, myself, and my family.”
Nicole, who joined the reality series during season five in 2022, said she wanted to share her journey with fans to provide “comfort and strength” to other new moms battling mental health issues and to destigmatize postpartum health struggles.

“This is a part of my life that I am learning to navigate, and it’s been an emotional rollercoaster,” she continued. “Given where I am right now, I have decided not to return to RHOM. Prioritizing my health and my family is something I need to do at this moment. It’s a step towards healing and finding balance, and I hope you can understand and support this choice.”
“Thank you for being a part of this journey with me and for creating a space where I feel comfortable sharing these parts of my life,” Nicole concluded her message. “I hope that my openness can help others who might be struggling and encourage us all to support one another through our most challenging times.”
But fret not RHOM fans. Nicole teased to People that she will pop up “here and there” in future episodes, just not in a full-time capacity.
Amid Nicole’s departure, Bravo has yet to confirm if the show’s other castmembers—including Larsa Pippen, Alexia Nepola, Guerdy Abraira, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, Marysol Patton, Adriana de Moura and Kiki Barth—will return for season seven.
