KHUZANI Mpungose popular dancer, Thibela “Intibane” Mpungose, denies any rift between him and Khuzani.
This after Thibela, a prince of the Mpungose royal family in Nkandla, KZN, announced his traditional wedding on Sunday, 22 September, which Khuzani will not attend.
Khuzani, who has worked with Thibela for many years, will be performing in Dubai on 20 September and in the USA on 24 September with the Clermont Choir.
Rumours of a rift began when the Clermont Choir announced their overseas tour with Khuzani to showcase Mzansi talent.

Many expected Khuzani to attend the wedding because Thibela is his dancer, and both hail from the Mpungose clan in Mandaba Village, Nkandla.
Thibela, the leader of Khuzaniâs dancers, will marry his lover of 10 years, Nompilo Khoza, from Mahlayizeni Village, also in Nkandla.
Nompilo Khoza, who will be getting married to Thibela.
Thibela told Daily Sun that he heard many rumours about a rift between him and Khuzani on social media, but there’s no such thing.
âPeople are spreading rumours with misinformation to create tension between us, and they will fail. As we speak, Khuzani is helping me with the wedding preparations.
âThere’s no problem with Khuzani going overseas with the Clermont Choir because it is not his trip; he was invited by the choir to showcase Mzansi talent,â he said.Â
Thibela said he understands that Khuzani was chosen to go overseas for his brand, and he supports him because he’ll represent them abroad.
âOnly Khuzani from our band will go with the Clermont Choir overseas, and all other band members will attend the wedding. I understand that work is work, and it’s not like the wedding will not happen if Khuzani is not present,â he said.
He said that the wedding will be attended by many people, including maskandi musicians, amakhosi, and other royal families.Â
In the Mpungose royal family, Thibela is the son of the late Inkosi Bantukabalingani Mpungose, and the current Inkosi of the Mpungose clan in Nkandla is Inkosi Zakhe Mpungose, Thibelaâs older brother.
Khuzani confirmed that there’s no rift between them and jokingly said he asked Thibela to postpone the wedding so he could attend.
He said that Thibela told him that the wedding couldnât be postponed and wished well on his wedding day.
